How to pick the scythe length?

• A short scythe (60 – 70 cm) is great for mowing in confined spaces. Short scythes do not require much strength which is suitable for physically weaker mowers. Poorly maintained land with thicker and more resilient vegetation is easier to mow with the short scythe.

• A medium-sized scythe (65 – 75 cm) is universal: suitable for gardens, orchards or meadows. Again, you have to consider mower's physical fitness.

• A long scythe (75 – 90 cm) is great for cutting large swathes of relatively flat land. Mowing is faster, but requires more strength.

• Scythes over 90 cm are for professional and competition mowing. We can order them for you upon request.
