The inverted (left) scythe points to the right when mowing. It cannot be used together with the regular (right) snath! Hand-forged in Austria by Schröckenfux with a manufacturing tradition dating back to 1540. The left variant of the scythe is only produced with the blade length of 70 cm.
"Left" variant of the scythe is appreciated mainly by mowers, who want to use their body fully symmetrically and switch between "left" and "right" directions during mowing. If you are such an enthusiast, the scythe is for you. Ergonomic mowing, the way we teach it, is sufficiently symmetrical and it has an even effect on the body as a whole if a good technique is applied in combination with a sharp blade. Although it can be very impractical for mowing in groups of people, you may still find it very useful.
