In the past, the majority of people would peen the scythe on a wide anvil with a narrow hammer peen. If you follow this tradition, pick this perfectly finished peening hammer. Its weight is 490 g, it has a handle from ash wood and it is made of C45 steel.
If you follow our ergonomic mowing learning system, you will not need this hammer. We use a hammer with wide lentil flat face and peen on a narrow anvil. This allows us to get even better and more consistent results.
