The ViaNatura narrow peening anvil is made of highest grade high carbon steel. It is hardened to 58 HRC while maintaining sufficient level of malleability. The striking surface is polished to almost mirror shine and prevent fine edge cracking.
Its geometry is a result of years of experimenting. Both during actual professional peening and teaching of peening classes. This shape allows to peen merely by utilising the hammer weight without having to apply significant force to the peening hammer. The finished edge can be very even, which eliminates mowing friction and extends the edge sharpness life.
