It is used to clean the scythe edge, hammer and anvil surfaces before peening. Enables us to see exactly where our hammer blows fell. Great for removing fine rust. Grit 120. Long lasting - the grinding material is throughout the entire volume. Not just on the block surface. Made in Germany. Size 8 x 5 x 2 cm.
The sanded surface reflects light from all direction. Once hit with the polished peening hammer, it produces mirror reflective finish on the scythe blade. This kind of visual feedback is important for superior peening and it makes the process more enjoyable as well.
